About Gregory Wow, life is good. I am healthy, happy, and living as me, fully expressed. At mid-life I can say that I operate from the power of knowing that I create my life; and that all of life is about the choices that we make. My first love and life's work has been with food as a chef and subsequently as a writer and teacher of nutrition and wellness. I have opened and run successful restaurants in New York City and San Diego occasionally working for some of the country's best chefs. Some of my work led to great reviews of my own. Food still plays a big part in my life. It nourishes, it satisfies, it energizes, and it allows an outlet for my creativity but it no longer controls me. In coaching I strive to steer people towards balance and fearlessness around food. I share what I had to learn the long way so you can get there faster.
I’ve learned that how we do food is how we do everything. Like most of us at mid-life I have battled and won in many categories including unsupportive partners, food, drugs, fear of failure, fear of success. Not always stellar choices but no regrets as each had a wonderful lesson to teach me. Loved ones have been lost and some loving people have moved on. In my twenties I tried my hand at marriage and found my hand empty after one and a half years. At mid-life I chose to try again. Both the man, Mark, and his two incredible children, Katie and Michael, have expanded my capacity to love and be loved. Friends of both sexes and all ages populate my landscape and I am by all points of reference heading towards being a crazy cat woman. I have four and would have more if I believed in the insanity defense. A sense of humor is a must these days. I recently found my cordless handset in the freezer. Anyone relate? Seven years ago I bought a home on my own and created a successful private chef business in the Hamptons. Life was good but something was missing. Food and cooking were no longer satisfying. I looked to early career dreams, (As a kid I wanted to become an MD), and knew I wanted to pursue a way of connecting with people, making a difference in their lives, maybe even heal them. I came to coaching because I have seen the power of an accountability partner in my own life. If I were to describe my style it would be collaborative, creative, and honest like tough love. Courageous, compassionate, and at times a little crazy are words I’d use to describe my choices now and what a great difference choosing these is making. I wake up each day thankful for what I have and for all the lives I’ll touch if I show up for my gifts. Thank you for spending some time here with me. I’d love to hear from you if you are ready to create the life of your dreams and to live as you, fully expressed.
